Adjust Width of elements like info box etc

Great work team but seriously...am I missing something? I cannot adjust the width of a simple box. (note box, info box). Once inserted on the slide, I want to adjust the width e.g. 40% of the row. but no...I can't! AM I missing something? I even tried inserting it in a table cell but does not work! This is so frustrating and a big reason NOT to switch to your App :( Adjusting simple boxes? and forcing 2-3 boxes instead? I dont get it! please help

Hey Jason Frydakis — appreciate the love, and yeah, I totally get the frustration here. Quick check: are you trying to (1) make an info/note box narrower within a single row, or (2) put 2–3 boxes side-by-side with specific widths (like 40/60)? Also, what layout are you using when it “won’t” resize (a normal card/slide, a column layout, inside a table, etc.)—and what happens when you drag the box edges (no handles, snaps back, won’t go past a grid)? If you can share a quick screenshot or Loom of what you’re seeing + what you want it to look like, I can point you to the best workaround and pass the exact need to the team.

To answer your question: I am simply trying to set the width of the solid box (see below). Is that possible? I don't want it to capture the entire width.
2) In a similar case, If I insert an Info box I cannot set the width to 50% for example Then I inserted it in a "solid box" and it works BUT then I cannot set a CUSTOM color code for the background of the solid box (see image below) or make it transparent. So the "solid box" stands our in the page...which leads me abandoning this OR updating the entire deck to match the SET colors of the palette (limiting the whole experience)

Updated: I added a color in the theme and edited the BG color of the "solid boxes". Now I am left with the BORDER thickness --> Changed this via "block border" but it APPLIES to the entire theme.
SUGGESTED FEATURE: IF POSSIBLE add a PROPERTIES setting for BOXES, TABLES. (to set at least the basics such as BG, Border) oh and BTW, I hate MSFT PPT. I am not looking for 1trillion options and features) but a "properties" shortcut for box and table, I believe it would make the UX much better and improve adoption of the service.

Jason Frydakis got it. The best way to hack this is probably with blank columns. You can insert them by typing /columns
