Allow numbered lists to start from a different number (than 1)

I often create interactive worksheets for students using gamma. I will write questions and try and insert lines for a response. When I do this, the next question restarts at 1 and so on and so forth. Any way to stop this and have auto numbering (continue numbering)?
Also, any way to insert lines on a page? I’ve used page divider lines but the space between them is too small and hard to fit student handwriting.

Feature: Text in One Block Flowing Over into Two Columns
Jere Gault
SITUATION: I have a few paragraphs of text in one block that includes some message points that are called out with number bullets. When I ask Gamma AI to flow the text over into a second column for more readable text, the number bullets in the new (second) column start over at "1" rather than continuing the original sequence.
SOLUTION: Continue original number bullet sequencing from first block.
COMMENT: When text flows from one block into another block, non-number bulleted text seems to work fine.
Thank you.
Jere Gault
Item #1--I am asking Gamma AI to reformat the content into two columns.
Item #2--It is a true numbered list (you hit “1.” and it auto-formats)
Item #3--See three screenshots attached. First one shows all text in one column. Second screenshot shows request to move text into two columns. Third screenshot shows text in two columns but the number bullets did not flow in sequence. The number bullets began with "1" in the left column, and the bullet in the second column also began with a "1." Should have sequenced to "2."
(I believed I misnamed screenshots 2 and 3. They should be reversed.)

Hey Jere Gault — thanks for the super clear write-up. Totally get why that’s annoying: if you’re splitting a long numbered list into two columns, restarting at “1” in column two makes it look like you’ve got two separate lists.
A couple quick questions so we can pin down the exact behavior and pass it to the team with the right context:
1) When you say “flow into a second column,” are you using a specific layout/template (two-column card), or are you asking Gamma AI to reformat the content into two columns?
2) Is the numbering in your original block created as a true numbered list (you hit “1.” and it auto-formats), or is it more like manual numbers typed into plain text?
If you’re up for it, a screenshot or a quick Loom showing the before/after (and where you click to trigger the two-column flow) would be super helpful. Bonus points if you can share a tiny sample of the text/list structure.
Either way, +1 from me on the request: continuing the numbering across columns is the expected/ideal outcome. I’ll make sure this gets in front of the product folks once I have those details.

Continuous numbered lists across multiple columns
Tablet Lingua
I have two columns on my card and want to create a numbered list of points that flows into the second column. Right now there is no way to do this, the second column's list always starts again at 1. I've tried working around this and manually numbering the points in column 2 but then the spacing is different and makes my brain flip out having uneven spacing. The only way to create a numbered list if it's across more than one column is to manually number all the points across all the columns

Thanks for the feedback. Will pass to the team1

Ability to have numbers in Outline Boxes with Top Circle format (and other formats) that span across multiple cards
Jason Whitehead
I am trying to create a document (Letter size) for a lead magnet. I have 10 questions listed in the document, and they are currently using the Outline Boxes with Top Circle format. The format looks fine on the screen, but when I go to export to a PDF, it cuts off the last questions (7 - 10). I tried to split this into 2 cards, but when I do this, the second card restarts the numbering at 1, instead of carrying on from the previous list of 10 items.
Is there a way to get it so that I can split the content between cards, and preserve the 1 - 10 numbering? Ideally, it would be great to be able to specify the "start from" number on each card, or have some other way to indicate that numbering should continue on from a previous card.

Columns eliminating Numbered Lists

Hayron Lawrantz
If I have a numbered list 1-Whatever if I ask Gamma to format it into 2 columns it destroys the numbers and makes TWO lists starting from one. Columns are being done for space. To complicate things modifying it by hand it actually impossible without ruining the layout.

Thanks Hayron Lawrantz. We have a request for this I'm going to merge this into
