Hello Gamma team,

I’m writing to share an issue I’ve been experiencing consistently while working in Gamma, in the hope that it can help improve the platform.

I use Gamma for high-end, long-form content such as detailed handbooks and course materials (100+ pages) that combine strong copy with visual layout (cards, images, sections). The writing quality and design output are excellent, which is why I chose Gamma for this work.

However, once documents reach a certain size and visual complexity, the editor becomes extremely unstable. I regularly encounter “Page unresponsive” / “Page not responding” errors, sometimes multiple times per minute. This makes it impossible to finish or refine the document properly.

Important context:

This happens on multiple Macs, including a high-performance desktop Mac

It happens with a stable internet connection

It appears to be related to rendering load (cards, images, gradients) rather than connectivity

Because of this instability:

I’ve lost significant work time

I’ve been forced to restart documents

And unfortunately, I’ve also lost a considerable amount of AI credits, since generation and refinement actions were triggered but could not be completed due to crashes

I fully understand that Gamma is pushing the boundaries between AI writing and live design, and I truly appreciate what the tool makes possible. At the same time, I wanted to make you aware that for professional long-form projects, performance limits currently make it very hard to work reliably.

I would appreciate it if:

This feedback could be shared with your product / engineering team

And if there is any possibility of reviewing the lost credits in this case, as the work could not be completed due to repeated editor crashes

I am using it in chrome and when i make more than 100 slides, it consumes so much memory that my PC stops. I used to make 500 slides PPT in canva but it never caused such issue. Gamma is 100 times better in terms of fast PPT design than Canva, but this memory issue needs to go. I am using Chrome.

Ik wil graag mijn project kunnen opdelen in de verschillende gamma documenten. En de paginanummering doorlaten lopen zodat het een geheel kan vormen. Dus ik wil graag verschillende projecten met een andere paginanummer laten beginnen. dus bijvoorbeeld beginnen met 100 in plaats van met 1. Als de project te groot worden. loopt mijn computer steeds vast. en zo kan ik dat voorkomen. En toch de projecten tot 1 geheel laten komen op het einde.
