BETA feedback: card headers & footers
in progress
Nik Payne (Gamma design)
UPDATE [April 25, 2025]:
We are working on improvements that will let you:
• Always show the logo and card numbers
• Change the size of the text, logo, and numbers
---
Some things we'd love to know:
1) How are you using card headers and footers in your presentations/documents?
2) Is anything about this feature confusing or missing?
3) What’s the most important thing we could do next to improve this feature?
4) How satisfied are you with the feature? (eg. on a scale of 1-5)

I would really like to be able to add a footer color bar / image to align with our company standards. It's a bummer that I can't do this manually or at the theme level. I'd also really like to be able to adjust the size of the logo in the corner, it feels a little small.

3.5 - I'd like to be able to adjust the size of the footer content (logo feels a little small for the space) and be able to add in a footer bar color if possible. Having additional design tools associated with this would be great.

I'd like to use my logo as a header for each card. Right now I have change each individual card to include a "top layout" and it's taking forever. I wish there was a button that allows me to switch on "top layout" for all cards.
I've tried to upload m logo for the header only. The logo keeps coming out very small. I'd like to have a smart resize feature or even better a manual resize logo feature so that it's looks good in each slide. I've included photos of what it should look like vs what it currently looks like with a limiting Gamma features

Nao consigo inserir a imagem do logotipo. Proporção 1:1. Formatos: png, svg e jpg. De 5 KB a 200KB.

Hi all! We've increased the default logo size about 15-35% (less for square logos, more for rectangular logos), and increased the padding so that the logo looks less cramped.

Great progress. Logo / page number does not show on bottom center when image is present on left or right side. Allow footer & header info to be brought forward if image or graphic is present.

James Gibson: This is coming soon!
you can play with the new visibility logic in this prototype:

Our standard template has a vertical branding strip on the left silde - would love to be able to add that into the template.
Christine Lewicki
We would like to add a coypright notice on all our cards. Ideally we would like it to be included in the modele for all of our presentations. Currently the footer is randomly appearing on some cards but not all of them
Nik Payne (Gamma design)
Christine Lewicki: thanks for the feedback. We're going to be working on improving the visibility settings!

We're also going to be building the ability to set workspace defaults

would be important to modify footer settings for individual slides, not just first and last slide...
Vincent Vega
Vanessa Saint-Gelais absolutely, that would be great!

Thanks for the feedback. We're working on improving doc-level headers and footers first. I think custom card-level ones will be out of scope for this year, but it's something we want to explore

I want to have the "CONFIDENTIAL" footer appear on the bottom right of all slides except the title slide. Easy to do with the current interface. However, on one slide, the image on the right side of the slide covers the "CONFIDENTIAL" footer, so I want to either (a) bring the footer forward to appear on top of the image or (b) make the footer appear on the bottom left or center on just this one slide.

Dana Johnson: We'll be fixing this soon!
