Custom background color / don't add blur for "fit" accent images

When we insert a photo, and we then have to shrink it to fill the space, AI automatically changes the surrounding area to a gradient. This looks terrible when there are no other gradients being used throughout the presentation. This area surrounding the image / background needs to be editable. Gradient, flat colors, same as the rest of the slide, etc.

I don't understand why Gamma is automatically adding background to the Accent images. Leave that choice to user. There is no option to remove it as well. It is very frustrating and annoying.

Hi STRATAGEO, unfortunately you can't remove this right now and we don't have a specific timeline yet.

Chaemin Ahn (Design @ Gamma) this is not helpful and would restrict the use of Gamma app. why was it added in the fist place? maybe that will help understand how it's supposed to be used perhaps?
