Difficult interaction with elements
Ricardo Cruz Belmont
I wanted to use the application to create an application, but I was displeased that the slide editor is something more of the elementor style, or notion, where you drag blocks and you have to make them all square, you can't superimpose or stack elements.
That didn't give me the creative freedom I needed and in the end I decided to return to Google Slides.
I was really excited about the idea of using an AI to create a presentation and that worked great, but the part where I can't position the elements where and how I want and where I have to stick to certain predefined containers didn't like it at all.
I don't think I'll use the app again until I have that capability.

Thanks for the feedback Ricardo Cruz Belmont. We'll keep that in mind!

Ability to resize images ?
H
Hayron Lawrantz
I have made hundreds of Gammas and as there are predefined limits to what accent photos can be... why cant I resize every photo to fit the aforementioned mandated photo sizes?? Am I missing this? It goes from being so zoomed in that its pure luck if you can get enough in frame or "fit image," which makes is some absurd awkward square with zero proportion in regards to anything. This single thing makes me feel like presentations have a cheaper feel. I have been a paying customer for 6 months so I obviously love the product but the lack of this " feature," just leaves me scratching my head. Am I that bad at using Gamma or is this really missing? Half the AI images I generate are worthless for this reason alone.

You can insert images into the card body (not the card layout area), and crop/resize them yourself. You're not limited to fit/fill

Hi Hayron Lawrantz can you share an example of what you have right now and what you are hoping to achieve?

WE NEED THE ABILITY TO WRAP TEXT
Albert Phillips
Being able to wrap text around an image is necessary for a professionally designed pdf. as well as the other exports

There is not enough custom template

Andrei baluev
A custom template is missing. There are a lot of webinars in Russia. And we need to have a place on the left where we want to insert the Speaker. And you can also reduce the size of the slide, as you also need to make captions from below. I attach an example.
there is not enough flexibility to be able to model a card slide

Scale images
Gilles Kutten
I really need a way to scale the images i insert from the web to fit the frames in the slides. Just using the focus point doesn't do it for me on most images. Thanks!

Add flexibility controls and layers to images percentage change in size and vertical alignment of images on the sides and fluid distribution of images, not just a rigid image on the sides
The Branding Agency
The truth is it quite cumbersome and tedious to work with gamma images even in the pro full version that I'm paying for, it's all very rigid and you can't stretch or deform, cut or even something as simple as placing them wherever you want to be able to make montages like in ppt, so although it's very good to be able to make the images I want or something similar and I save a lot of time that I used to summarize and assemble the structure of the presentation I lose it when I wanted to make modifications there are no fluids, yesterday I spent like 3 hours trying to align 2 images vertically on the right side of a single slide
To solve it, I asked the AI to do it repeatedly without success and seek help from the bot and I couldn't do it either. The explanations were vague and without illustrative images, so I tried to do it manually and I couldn't either. That flexbox is a toothache to say nothing else in my body, besides for me, who come from the canva and ppt experience, I find it very stuck and difficult to understand the flexbox system I think that like most old school graphic designers, not programmers.
they should consider migrating to a format without flexbox more similar to canva or ppt with layers to make the design experience much easier and more exciting because it's quite frustrating not to be able to place the images as I want where I want and in the way I want in the way I want and how many I want and everything that has been advanced is only to end up exporting to ppt and then being able to do it as I want is sincerely ridiculous!! ,
But the problem is that you don't export the gradients in the fonts as you can see in the samples, nor can I know the color palette to recreate them, and that would also be very useful because then they can't be recreated and it loses a lot of its visual value
or at least offer the 2 alternatives to those who start a project so that they can choose if they want it with layers or with flexbox for those who do not need to design the slide or correct the images and are enough with what they receive
attached to the footer are some examples so you can see the differences between what I want to do and what I can do,
On the right what I want to do on the left what Gamma leaves me and all after paying 200 usd for a year of using its fullest version so as not to have limitations, which is more than what Canva charges me in its fullest agency version, as I said, it's quite frustrating and especially because you sold me that I could forget about ppt and in the end I end up editing everything there for which I pay 30 usd per month
What I sent you is part of my paper at the “Latin American forum for design researchers” of which I am an active member, and where I planned to talk about the Wonders of AI in putting together presentations naming their product but unfortunately I can't do it unless they make the expected changes for it.
