Don't compress images I add into my Gammas
Hemali Tanna
Even when I am uploading high resolution images, when I present the slide, it looks low quality, can see the blur in my previous sharp image.
This just makes your perfect product unusable for me.

Low confidence in image quality - looks broken even in non present mode

My images often look like the attached image. They display fine (though look poor resolution than original), but it shouldn't look so scary in the preview.

Hey Hemali Tanna, could you send a link to design@gamma.app with the doc you're having trouble with?

Alison (Design @ Gamma) Hey Alison, I can't recreate the issue today. It displays like the image attached only sometimes (blurred), when the entire file feels heavy. Today the image displays fine, attached that image too.
Could be a memory issue - I have 16 GB DDR3 RAM, Figma open on the side, and presentation has diagrams, some gifs to show interactions.
So it looks like that only in the non-present mode (when it does). In present mode, it looks fine.

Image Degradation

When uploading images there's a significant loss of fidelity that makes it hard to use screenshots.

It looks horrible and this really makes the app unusable.
Update: it seems that AI generated images remain sharp, as well as images inserted as image. But images in a gallery will become ugly, and also accent images that are not AI-generated images.
