Feedback on pricing and plans

Gentlemen, Your price plans and credit limits are very difficult to work with.
I have a pro account, paid annually, which gives me 4000 credits per month. This is my first, my learning month. Naturally, I used the 4000 credits very fast with all my testing. Tried to buy credit, I can not. Looked at the upgrade option; an unbelievable quantum jump from $18 to $100 per month, with nothing in between.
You need to do one or both of two things.
- I paid for the full year; give me the full year credits and let me use them as I need.
and/or:
- Create a more sensibly tiered price plan; you need to have at least 2 more steps before reaching $100 per month.
You all may be brilliant programmers, engineers, technicians, but you need to come down from Olympos and learn to make your customers' lives easier. Give them better UX.
I do not need or can not sensibly afford a $100 per month plan, so I will look for potential substitutes. Is that what you want your customers to do?
An irritated user,
P.S.
the only way I found to keep using Gamma without going to the $100 plan or changing platforms was to open another account with you using another email I have. Unfortunately, that account also is having problems with API key and after over three hours with Gamma, I still do not have an API key to finish developing my AI Agent.

Suggestion: Flexible Subscription Model with “Active Days” and Freeze Option
S
Sharif Amawi
Hello Gamma Team,
I really enjoy using Gamma, but I’d like to suggest a more flexible subscription model that better fits users like me who don’t use the platform every day.
Currently, the subscription runs on a continuous calendar basis — meaning days are counted even when I don’t use Gamma. However, I only need the platform occasionally (maybe for a few weeks or a month throughout the whole year).
It would be great if you could introduce an
“Active Days” plan
, where a day is only counted when I actually use Gamma (even for a few minutes). Additionally, a Freeze/Unfreeze option
would allow users to pause their subscription during inactive periods, so no days are deducted when the account is frozen. This approach would make Gamma more affordable and fair for light or seasonal users, and would likely increase long-term retention.
Thank you for considering this feature, I believe it would make a big difference for many of us.
Best regards,
Shareef Amawi

My tips for Gamma.
S
Serie
Good afternoon, dear Gamma company. I am very pleased with the new neural network and would like to thank you for such a useful program. Before I start sharing my ideas, I would like to wish you good luck in everything and in the development of the Gamma program.
So, the topic is about Credits (coins).
I would like to suggest the following: I have a lot of presentations on my page that I made without knowing about the existence of coins, and I need them now.
My advice is to exchange the presentations I have already made for coins. I think this is a great idea for both beginners and experienced users.
For example, if I spend 40 coins on a presentation, I can exchange it for 20 coins after 10 days. But I won't be able to exchange my presentations for 10 days.

Offer a 24-hour Gamma Pro pass
Олексій Васильєв
I’m a PhD student from Ukraine and recently tried Gamma Pro with the 30% student discount. The product is excellent, but the $25/month price is high for many users in price-sensitive regions, including me.
More importantly, my usage pattern doesn’t justify a full month: I don’t create presentations every day, or even every week (unlike ChatGPT, which I use daily for many tasks). Mostly, I need Gamma for only 2–4 focused days per month. I use Gamma mainly to create the initial structure of my presentation that is based on my slide plan, then refine it in PowerPoint because I have my own habits.
Because of the monthly model, I sometimes feel pressure to use the service just to “get my money’s worth,” even when I don’t actually need it. That’s not ideal for me as a PhD student, and it likely discourages many occasional users from upgrading at all.
Suggestion: Please consider a 24-hour Gamma Pro pass, priced around $2–$4. A small, time-boxed purchase is much more affordable than $25/month and is often sufficient to complete a project or meet a deadline. Many users—myself included—would likely purchase it for three days per month as needed.

Pricing
A
Armel All
Hilary (CX @ Gamma)
Armel All Gamma has different card count limits for its plans, but these limits only apply during the initial generation of a presentation. For example, with the Pro plan, you can generate up to 60 cards in a single prompt or by importing content. However, after the initial creation, you're free to add as many cards as you like—whether manually or using AI. This applies to all plans: the limit only affects the first batch of generated cards, but you can continue adding more without restrictions afterward.

Lower price of Ultra plan
Gustavo Leite Da Silva

Frustrating Changes to Pro User Benefits
Glen Young
I've been one of Gamma's biggest fans for the past year. I subscribed to Pro, volunteered for the Gambassador program, and spent time with the team in a 1-on-1 interview because I believe in the product. That's why the recent changes to the Pro plan are so disheartening.
Two recent decisions feel like a major step backward:
Paywalling Existing Features: The best image models, once a staple of the Pro plan, are now locked behind a new, more expensive "Ultra" tier. For those of us on an annual plan, this feels like a feature we paid for is being taken away. Introducing a credit system but then making some credits more valuable than others by walling off certain credit-demanding features just feels stingy. Why not give users the freedom to spend their credits as they see fit across all tiers?
Downgrading Plan Limits: The card generation limit was silently reduced from 60 to 50 for pro users. Presumably this was done to increase the appeal of the ultra-expensive Ultra subscription, but this is a clear downgrade to a core feature that was promised at the time of purchase.
It feels like the terms of my annual subscription were changed unilaterally, which I consider a breach of trust.
I work in academia and have been a passionate evangelist for Gamma, touting its benefits to many of my colleagues. But I can't recommend a product that changes its promises to paid users mid-subscription. I hope that Gamma will listen to its community and find a solution that honors the commitment of its early supporters.

Agent and Credits

Jonathan Wilson
The new agent feature is a strict downgrade from the app I already purchased and paid for. When I paid for my subscription, I was capable of unlimited editing cards via text. Now I cannot. Please don't take away features that have already been paid for.
