Feedback on recent AI image generation quality

Hi Gamma Team,
I have noticed a significant drop in the quality and relevance of the AI-generated images in Gamma recently.
Previously, the visuals were consistently accurate, professional, and well-aligned with the presentation context. Lately, the output has become largely unusable due to several recurring issues:
Irrelevant Context: The generated images frequently miss the topic and intent of the slide content.
Visual Artifacts & Errors: Generated assets show noticeable rendering flaws, distortions, and composition errors.
Exaggerated Facial Expressions: Whenever people are depicted, they often show unnatural, extreme emotions rather than professional, balanced expressions.
This currently adds extra manual work to replace nearly every visual asset. Please review the underlying image generation models or default prompting logic to bring the output back to the high standard we are used to.

Hey Philipp, really appreciate the detailed writeup here. Sorry the image quality has slipped for you, having to replace basically every visual is a huge time sink. I’ll pass this to the team.
Quick couple questions so we can make it actionable:
1) Roughly when did you notice the drop (like this week vs a few weeks ago)?
2) Are there a couple example topics where it consistently goes off the rails, and is it worse for “people” images vs objects/diagrams? If you’re up for it, a screenshot of a bad example (and what you expected) would help a ton.

Thanks for getting back to me. Here are the details regarding your questions:
The quality dropped quite recently, about 7 days ago it was still significantly better.
People vs. Objects: The issue is definitely much worse when it comes to people. They often show exaggerated, unnatural facial expressions and visibly distorted/blended limbs.
Other Visuals: It is not limited to people, though. Even more conceptual imagery (e.g. illustrating general AI usage or technology) no longer has the consistent, polished look it used to.
Previously, I rarely had to ask the agent to tweak or replace an image. In my last three attempts, however, not a single generated visual met the standard of quality I was used to.
