I pay for Gamma Not Canva
Steven Matias
So the beta version of Gamma 5 just dropped and I was curious so I clicked try it!! BIG MISTAKE. It completely changed, some things are cool to weak but now instead of one step to get what I want, I have to make 10 steps to get things situated how I want. Used to be click edit with AI button and hit toggle and/or info box and it would do it right away. Also now I can't drag a photo into the slide without editing it. Have to make a box before putting stuff in it when it used to automatic just drag and place. As a teacher paying for a service, it is frustrating when things change and not for the better. This feels more like Canva and for that I can just use Canva and its FREE!!! for teachers. PLEASE give the option to go back to gamma 4. Again it frustrating to pay for something to complicate life when you can just use a free one to make it complicated. Rant over sorry.

Steven Matias totally hear you, and sorry Gamma 5 beta made your workflow harder, especially when you’re paying for it as a teacher. I’ll pass this along to the team (AI edit being more steps, drag-and-drop images now needing a box, and the “feels like Canva” shift), and the request for an option to stick with Gamma 4.
Quick question so we can make this actionable: what are the top 1–2 tasks you do most often (like adding images fast, toggles/info boxes via AI, etc) that went from “one click” to “10 steps” in the beta?
