More control over picture selection as I am working in the African Context and would like to be able to select a population bias for my pictures.

Resolving the problem with the lack of diversity in AI image generation
Dr Paul Collins
I've used the prompt - "Please increase the Ethnic diversity 🧬⚖️ of human representations photorealistically" as the mechanism for rapidly resolving the issue of the tendency for AI to over-represent caucasian ethnicity.

Using local culture-connected images to create presentation graphics.
Grzegorz Kurdziel
I want to share the idea of using graphic patterns and images of people and places connected to local culture. For example, I'm from Poland and created a presentation dedicated to the Polish railway sector; it would be great to use pictures of Polish trains or railway stations or samples from Polish cities as a background. Universal, global images sometimes don't fit the presentation or are boring.

Lack of diversity in images
Lorna Flynn
The images generated are all of white men in their 30s/40s. Would be great to see more diversity in there.
Hilary (CX @ Gamma)
Lorna Flynn thanks for the feedback. AI reflects the biases that are found in our society. This means that the image prompts generated by AI may not always be culturally appropriate or inclusive. However, we do have some recommendations for writing more specific AI prompts: https://help.gamma.app/en/articles/11047189-what-makes-a-good-ai-image-prompt

People Images
J
Jed Stillman
For some reason, the vast majority of AI generated images in presentations include only people with Asian backgrounds. In a deck with 25 images that include 100 people across all images, 80% or more "appear" to be Asian based on facial structure. Presentations should include people of all geagraphic and ethnic backgrounds. The over-index on Asians creates the appearance that the presentations are being poorly outsourced. Please make it more balanced or us default mixes of backgrounds based on location.

Gender equality
Szkolenia Chmura
Dear Gamma team, I generally love your work and how good the presentations are but would like to pay your attention to one BIG BUT. Your images are biased - mostly it's all men, without women. Almost every time the image is generated I need to add woman and man, women etc to the description to get the diverse image. You are much better in race and age diversity than in gender - please fix it asap!!!! I'm both getting frustrated on emotional level - hello, there are as many women as men in this world - and I'm losing my time to get the right image.
Thanks for your hard work, appreciate it!

The photos generated were very stereotypical and even after asking for a broader range of ages, gender, races to be displayed in the photos it did not correct itself.

AI-generated Slide Decks - Layout and Images
Kristin Towles
Hello, in the last couple weeks, the AI-generated slide deck quality has decreased drastically, like so bad I want to ask for a refund and find another AI-generated slide deck tool. The AI images are bad, the layouts are bad, the descriptive text generated from the slide deck outlines is bad. I hate all of it. I literally tried 6 different times to create one slide deck and ALL of the outputs were horrendous. Also, didn't matter which AI image model I picked, they were all bad - faces were not lifelike, fingers were missing, or hands had extra fingers, or even extra limbs, graphics design looked like someone painted a wall and threw water on it. Please help!!

Sem conhecimento de imagens industriais
Leandro CNC
Até o momento, nenhuma IA sabe o que é uma "Fresa" todas elas estão sem conhecimento de ferramentas industriais.
Estou testando várias, a primeira que for treinada com imagens de ferramentas sairá na frente neste setor.

More image variety for business and college projects
Alberto Molina
The current images generated by AI when creating a presentation are very limited and tend to get too repetitive. It would help to have more variety in image style, themes, and topics for business and college presentations that look more professional.
