Pay As You Go Credits
Zoe Wong
I'd like to be able to purchase credits on a one-off basis. I dont see myself needing to use Gamma every month - I use it for short bursts only - I would like to be able to buy a bundle of credits to use over a longer period of time.
The only other way for me to to this is to subscribe for a month, and cancel - which is not ideal as a user- but also as a business you'll end up with artificially high user churn which doesnt reflect your great app.

I agree with this, especially for API users and automation builders. Gamma usage can be very burst-based. A builder may need a lot of credits during one client project, then very little the next month. One-off credit bundles, even with a 6- or 12-month expiration, would make the platform easier to use without forcing people into subscribe/cancel behavior. It would also give Gamma cleaner churn data because cancellations would not always mean dissatisfaction.

Totally hear you Zoe Wong. A pay as you go credit bundle for bursty usage makes a ton of sense, and I’ll pass this along to the team.
Quick couple questions so we can size it right:
1) Roughly how many credits do you tend to burn in a “burst” and how often do those bursts happen?
2) Would you expect credits to never expire, or is something like 6 or 12 months of validity fine?

Nik Payne (Gamma design) I also think this is a good idea. I am a trainer, and I tend to use it in bursts for my own curriculum design projects, then occasionally in live demos. Ideally never expire is good, but at least 12 months.
I am also a small-business mentor and have some business-startup clients who might use Gamma to create a website and only want to update it infrequently. So it would also make sense to have a standalone hosting option. At the moment, £20 per month is too expensive for such clients.
