The new update is the worst! Please go back to the generation of the images that we had before!

The image generation is absolutely horrendous! I shall be cancelling my subscription if I have no ability to generate a normal image!!!
I am reading the responses from Gamma app and I am quite stunned. Was there any user testing, focus group etc?
Please revert to the previous images that we had.
Thanks

Dotun Adeoye thanks for the feedback! I'm curious to learn more about what you liked about our earlier image generation, and what images being generated now aren't meeting expectations! It'll help us understand.

Hello Gamma team,
I'm writing as a Pro plan subscriber who, until recently, was a genuine advocate for Gamma. Before the latest update, the platform was one of the most efficient tools I'd used for building presentations. I could upload a prompt file with the content for each slide, set the option to preserve my input, and within about ten minutes I'd have a beautiful, visually intelligent deck. I often didn't even need detailed prompts. A simple instruction like "make it visual" was enough, and Gamma would get it right in one or two attempts. It read the content, chose appropriate icons, picked the best layout for each idea, and produced something polished with almost no back and forth from me.
Since the recent update, that experience has changed significantly, and not in a good way.
What used to take ten minutes now takes hours. The AI no longer seems to understand straightforward instructions. Prompts that were previously interpreted intelligently now require rephrasing, explanation, and multiple attempts, and even then the output is visibly less considered than what the previous version produced automatically. The intelligence that made Gamma stand out, the part that chose the right visual treatment for each piece of content, appears to have been replaced with a workflow that feels clunky, slow, and generic.
A few specific concerns worth raising:
- The update was rolled out with no advance notice. There was no communication about what was changing, why, or how the workflow would shift.
- The upload-and-preserve workflow that worked so well is no longer producing the results it used to. This was the core reason many of us chose Gamma over other tools.
- The combination of a degraded Pro experience and the existence of a $100 per month Max plan unfortunately creates the impression that Pro users are being nudged to upgrade. Whether that's the intent or not, it's how it's landing.
I'd genuinely like to keep using Gamma. The software is brilliant when it works the way it used to. My request is straightforward: please restore the previous functionality for Pro users, or at minimum offer a way to revert to the earlier workflow for those of us who preferred it.
I'd appreciate this being passed to the product and technical teams. I suspect I'm not the only Pro subscriber feeling this way.
Thanks

I don't know what you did to the images, but please return things to how they were before. I created a presentation a week ago and it was fine. Today I was creating a new presentation, and the AI is not following my instructions for the image generation. Also you eliminated the "Photo" image option (enclosed) which was great. The only option that I had to generate realistic images was "Cinematic". I specified for all the images to have lots of natural light, but some came out dark and only people's faces were lit up as if someone was shining flashlight at them. I asked AI to create realistic photos of families, and it created photos of three adult males with a little girl, or 2 adult males + adult female + a child (enclosed).

IMAGE GENERATION A COMPLETE DISASTER

The new image generating feature is really bad, very very bad. Absolutely horrible. PLEASE REVERSE THE LAST IMAGE GENERATION UPDATE. IT IS A TOTAL DISASTER!

Gamma was much more stable in the beta version than in the current version.

Oof, sorry about that, and thanks for calling it out. When you say it’s “really bad,” what specifically changed for you after the update (image quality, style, speed, prompt control, consistency), and do you have 1-2 example prompts plus the results you’re getting so we can pass something concrete to the team?
Andrew Kasaija
Reverse the last version upgrade which included an auto image generation feature. the new images being generated are a total disaster.

Very disappointed in today, it took much longer because images in presentation did not match my prompt. Now sure if update was an improvement. I usually don't have a problem.
