Gamma AI Experience - Detailed Feedback
I've spent around 3+ hours today exploring Gamma, and overall, I'm really loving the experience. However, as a user, I've encountered a few issues I'd like to share, particularly regarding image generation:
- Color Modification Challenges:
When I generate an image using the Google X image generator (for example, in pale green), and then try to modify it by changing the color (say, to pale blue), the system often generates an entirely new image instead of simply adjusting the color of the existing one.
- Lack of Image Persistence:
There seems to be no way to maintain the original generated image while applying specific changes. Each modification request tends to result in a completely new image, which can be frustrating when you like certain aspects of the original.
- Inconsistent Results:
Sometimes, when asking for a simple change, the AI produces a drastically different image that doesn't retain the key elements of the original. This unpredictability can make it challenging to refine images to your liking.
Suggestions for Improvement:
- Implement a feature to allow users to lock certain aspects of a generated image while modifying others.
- Enhance the AI's understanding of incremental changes vs. complete redesigns.
- Provide more granular control over specific elements within generated images.
Despite these issues, I'm impressed with Gamma's capabilities and excited to see how it evolves. The potential for streamlining creative workflows is immense, and I look forward to future updates addressing these points.

Edit images: Ai or Not

We should be able to resize images so that they fit themes more easily. Such as a globe on the top of a slide is seen smaller, but with a resizer we can make the object bigger.
We should be able to add our own text to the images as well. Thus it saves us the hassle in order for the AI to get it just right.

Editing generated Images

Often there is just one detail amiss in a generated image - like the text is wrong (spelling) or just one hand has weird fingers; it would be amazing if it would be possible to work with that image and not only generate new images with the same prompt

After creating an image, how can I suggest variations on that same image without starting from scratch with each new instruction?

Nik Payne (Gamma design): Even simple things like 'crop' pic within the window is great. so I don't have to generate it again. Also, is it possible to keep my generated pictures in the 'common library' where every pic from all gammas is saved? It's difficult to jump between gammas if I want to repurpose some pictures. thx

I'd be great if there is an option to 'edit' the pics once generated.

Have an AI image generator "auto fixer"
Corey Colwell
If you like an image that was generated and want to keep it but the mouths are where the eyes should be and they have 3 fingers, there should be an auto fixer or quick fix where you tell it how to improve that specific image without generating others or you can hone in on where the issue is and tell it to fix.

Hi Usama Nasir thanks so much for taking the time to put this together. I'm gonna share it with the team!

Faces and hands? 🫠

Nik Payne (Gamma design) Sometimes, but using the "plus" options usually helps avoid that in the first place. For me, I'm teaching, so if it is depicting a classroom with a teacher and it is supposed to represent me, I'd prefer it look roughly like me and not someone of a different gender and race. Or is a image is mostly accurate, but has some random detail that is added.
