Great clarifying question: Connecting your Google account and selecting from there. I would image a more diverse list of sources a user can import would impact a great number of users - but highest priority would be google doc, google slide, google sheet).
Current workaround is to export as various supported file types and import, which works but adds friction.

Brian Shumway: Thanks Brian. We're working on overhauling and consolidating our generator, and this will include better integration with other tools.
Google Drive's MCP is still kind of crappy/incompleter so we're a little hamstrung there, but I imagine it will be available to us soon

Nik Payne (Gamma design) Thanks for the heads up, I agree, the MCP is terrible. The CLI is a little better, but word on the street is the API is solid (haven't had a chance to try it).

Hey Brian Shumway, thanks for the clear request (and the screenshot). Totally get the friction here, especially if your source lives in Google Docs and you don’t want to download a file just to re-upload it. I’ll pass this along to the team.
Quick question so we build the right thing: when you say “importing Google Docs (or anything not from a file)”, are you imagining pasting a link (and we pull the content), or connecting your Google account and picking a doc from a list?
