Gamma power hour for consultants? Not really to the point.
Fernand Schroell
Hey, I just wanted to provide feedback on your 1-hour presentation called Gamma Power Hour for Consultants a couple of days ago. The point is that you want to address a professional audience with consultants and then when you present the functionality of the tool, you start by losing your time with the creation of a fully AI-based presentation, generating many nonsense slides based on one phrase of input. This is not how consultants work. Consultants have a clear picture of what they want to tell the customer. They have a script. They have documents. They have maybe already an outline which is ready and they just need help to turn this into a proper presentation. None of the consultants would ask Gamma AI to create a full deck of presentation based on one single phrase to creat some AI bullshit output! So this is just a loss of time to start and focus your presentations on these things. Better you explain on how you create professional presentations based on a professional script and you address the always recurring questions related to "Can I use corporate design templates and how strictly these are followed? How can I offload this to PowerPoint to continue to work there? And so on and so forth." But for the sake of everybody's time, stop with presenting this fully automated creation of stuff, 8 slides based on one phrase. Which consultant is going to work like this?

Hey Fernand Schroell, thanks for the feedback! This was our very first Power Hour and public event, so we're still fine-tuning the format and learning what is most helpful for our community.
Not sure if you were able to stay on for the full session, but I did demo how to turn an outline into a presentation, intro call notes into a detailed proposal doc and a personalized landing page, export to PPT, and more — the recording should be in your email if you'd like to check it out!
Lastly, this Power Hour was open to all. The trade-off with any event for the general public is that there may be content that is not applicable to every skill & familiarity level — but it was important to us that this session was accessible and approachable to anyone in attendance and watching the recordings later, regardless of familiarity with Gamma.
If there are more topics, workflows, or questions that you'd like to see covered in-depth please let us know! You can email your suggestions to our amazing Community Manager at amanda.rothbard@gamma.app.

Alison (Design @ Gamma) I see your point, and you are right. It was just the beginning, but it was not really to the point of what I have expected. I have watched the full replay, and I even tried as well the replay for marketeers which was obviously quite similar. What I don't understand is if you advertise the video cast for a specific occupation sector like marketeers or consultants. I would then expect that the presentation is also really focused for them and does not address "general public". I tried to get a seat on the live presentation but I was not able to because 500 free seats were already full, so I could only watch the replay. I'm already in contact with Nik with respect to examples of corporate PowerPoint templates. I will continue to monitor the evolution of Gamma in particular with respect to some of my improvement suggestions. At some point, I will also subscribe to one of the plans to use it more. Don't worry.
